Received a call from Steven's nurse at 7:40 am. He was stable all night. His fever is down to 100.3. They gave him the blood transfusion and platelets last night, however his counts did not go up. The drains from the head injury are not putting out an increased amount of blood so they are concerned that he has a delayed injury in his stomach or pelvis. They will be doing a CAT scan of his stomach and pelvis this morning to see if he has any internal bleeding. The nurse said she will call me after the CAT scan to give me the results.
We have been told...2 steps forward 1 step back. Let's pray this is his only step back.
Please continue to pray for him.

ReplyDeleteHang in there, Mom and Dad... Yes, I remember when my daughter was in ICU that the roller coaster moved constantly... keep hopeful and know we all are too! From one mom to another, Barb, my heart aches especially for you. Big hugs.
ReplyDeleteJust know that Pauline's friends from the Red Oaks have your faimly in all our prayers.
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say that Steven and you have been in my thoughts and prayers constantly. He means a lot to me and has played a big role in my life over the last few months. I do, however, believe strongly in the power of prayer and in the short time that I've known Steven, have witnessed many miracles. He truly is a miracle, I think we all know that. I will continue to pray and pray some more for him and you as well. Steven! Stay strong, and I love you bro...
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone from the bottom of our hearts. The love and support we have been receiving help keep us going. We truly appreciate it. Love you all.
ReplyDeleteJustin...remember our conversation. Stay strong. This boy is going to need you once he gets better. Just so you know, you played a part of his miracle.
Dear Steven, I got to see you today, I was thrilled. You look kinda scarey, kid. But I hope you could hear me and feel me with you. I love you to death and will stand by your side till you get up and walk out of there. Keep the faith and fight like a McGinnis!! Love Aunt Barb.
